Make your plans to attend this years 50th National Shrimp Festival happening this week on October 12-15 in Gulf Shores. AL. Every year the second weekend of October thousands flock to the beach for great food, live entertainment, arts and crafts booths and other fun activities.
This year there will be approximately 50 local and regional food vendors serving up their best fried, steamed and boiled shrimp, cajun pistols, lobster, etoufee, crab cakes and so much more. Multiple music acts will be performing on 2 stages for all 4 days of the event. Over 150 arts and crafts booths will be available to shop from with everything from jewelry, bags, clothes, fine arts, paintings and other awesome crafts. On Saturday, teams will take to the beach to create their sand sculptures that will then be judged with the winners receiving cash prizes so don’t forget to sign your team up. For the kids there will be a children’s activity center setup with a bubble truck, face painting, air brush tattoos and other fun things to do.
